For this recording the Sixtine Group has revisited the repertory of its concert programme devoted to American Christmas numbers in order to produce an original object brimming with vitality, humour, yet also reverence. Why choose the American Christmas tradition? Because it offers the ideal thematic peg to recount the formidable cultural diversity, resulting from the great waves of immigration, which has presided over the evolution of American music, sacred and secular, for the past four centuries.
