Drummer Jochen Rueckert was born in Cologne, Germany, and lives in New York City. Up until now he has seldom written jazz compositions - but he was moved to do just that for Pirouet. The results: "Somewhere Meeting Nobody", a CD with nine original compositions, one jazz standard, and one pop piece. This is a CD with a unique sound - four remarkable individuals from the current New York scene come together to create a thrilling, vital group voice.
