What makes this release even more interesting is the use of a new critical edition made by the renowned Swedish musicologist Anders Wiklund for Casa Ricordi. The CD booklet offers exhaustive liner notes, and plot and libretto in four languages. The DVD has subtitles in 6 languages (Italian, English, German, French, Spanish and Japanese), as well as interviews to the two female interpreters, the conductor, the director and the set-designer.
