A Chronological history of jazz

Over the last ten years, we've offered jazz lovers a series of eight boxed sets under the general title of 'Jazz Treasures - Jazz City', where the different phases or schools of jazz were illustrated by a wide choice of typical and/or exemplary recordings presented in chronological order. This was supplemented by another series known as 'Jazz Characters', with fifty one portraits of major actors in the jazz field.
Today it's time to gather our spirits together once again and to go even further in this exploration of our modern past, in order to understand our future better and bring it some stability. In even better conditions than before, we're now in a position to do something that has never been undertaken before in Europe or anywhere else in the world, even in the birthplace of this music, i.e. the USA. We're creating a sound encyclopaedia of jazz covering one hundred very different CDs - just listen and see!
