Gramophone Re-Issue of the Month - May 2009
Chandos Records celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2009. Founded in 1979 by Brian Couzens, Chandos quickly established itself as one of the world's leading classical labels. To celebrate 30 years in the classical recording world, Chandos is releasing a limited edition 30 disc set of its recording highlights from these 30 years.
Each CD will be packaged in a CD wallet featuring the original artwork, and the 2009 Chandos catalogue will be included within each set.
A special Chandos 30th Anniversary web page will also run throughout 2009, which will include rare archive photographs, podcasts, company history, interviews with artists, and details of the 'Milestones' box set.
