Not normally a Sibelius fan, I was unsure of what to expect when I put this disc in the player. I instantly fell in love with these pieces, due in no small part to the great playing of this orchestra. The 'Night Ride and Sunrise' is a fantastic piece with powerful orchestra forces. One thing that I loved was the prominence of the flute in some of these works, and how thoughtfully Sibelius used it. This is a disc of lesser known Sibelius, but is worth every minute!
