Burt Bacharach's new release, Burt Bacharach: Live at the Sydney Opera House with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (Verve Records), is his first-ever live concert recording. The album features the Emmy®, GRAMMY®, and OSCAR®-winning composer joined by his band and singers accompanied by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
“One of the biggest thrills in my life was walking onto that stage,” said Bacharach of performing at the world-famous venue. He originally performed in 2007 and his concerts were so well received that he returned to perform again in 2008.
Fans of Bacharach’s music will treasure the scope, range, quality and quantity of 32 of Bacharach’s songs performed live on stage for this CD. Bacharach is accompanied by his long time singers and band members who have performed around the world with him for many years.
