The cast is great. The Count is a very natural bass, it doesn't sound like he's reaching at all. His Act I finale is totally invigorating. Graziella Sciutti plays my favorite Susanna, as she is perfect for the role. Not the strongest voice, but oh-so pretty and that prettiness, along with great, delicate timing, helps carry her voice above the fray when need be. The Countess (Sena Jurinac) is very well-casted as well. Her deeper timbre contrasts well with Sciutti. The rest of the cast and performances are very sufficient, although they don't necessarily stand out as legendary. Overall, the performance by all involved is very tight, and flows in that Italian bel-canto style. The opera is undoubtedly one of Mozart's best, and this recording does it justice. It deserves, in my opinion, to be compared as one of the best recordings of Le Nozze di Figaro available.
