His patron the Archduke Matthias was crowned Emperor in 1612; de Sayve composed splendid motets in the Venetian polychoral style for the occasion. These motets are associated with the 'Missa super Dominus Regnavit' for four choirs and forms the basis for the reconstruction of the office of Matthias' coronation. ![]() |
