Another Billie Holiday compilation... But what a great one! The sound quality of all of these cuts is very good, and the performances are top shelf material. If you don't have much Billie in your collection, this is a great place to start. These recordings span from 1947 to 1956 and will give you a wonderful variety of the different groups that she was singing with. Even if you have a few Billie Holiday recordings, it is still worth it at this price to have two CDs with not a single repetition (unlike a lot of the recent major label re-issues!). The duets with Louis Armstrong are always a treat to listen to. Highly recommended!
