When she first came to Austin in 1991 at the urging of nightclub impresario Clifford Antone, it was during this Austin era that she made a name for herself among notorious Texas guitar players like Albert Collins and the Vaughan Brothers. It all goes back to that one hot Friday night in Austin, playing to a packed club. It's real. And it's badass. This is Sue at her best. This past May in Memphis, TN, Foley was honored with the Blues Music Award for Traditional Blues Artist (Koko Taylor Award) - an award she also won in 2022 and 2020.
