Their programme begins with an extraordinarily sensitive performance of the Adios Nonino requiem by the virtuoso bandoneon player, containing notably the first performance of his “Histoire du Tango”. The recording closes with Cacho Tirao’s wonderful piece “Concerto de Buenos Aires”.
