Ramez Mhaanna

The four piano pieces recorded here stem from the years between 1940 and 1950. The three earliest (Toccata, Op. 10, Passacaglia, Op. 31 and Partita, Op. 38) from 1940 and 1945. It is virtuoso music, which Niels Viggo Bentzon played himself at full blast in order to showcase his talents. Ramez Mhaanna handles these works beautifully. Ramez Mhaanna is an internationally recognized pianist and has completed his bachelor’s degree in Gnesin Music Academy in Moscow and his master’s and soloist degrees at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Ramez has been performing with solo and chamber music recitals in prominent music festivals in Denmark such as Copenhagen Summer Festival and Bornholms Musikfestival and in venues such as Tivoli Concert Hall, Den Sorte Diamant, DR Koncerthuset and Musikhuset Aarhus. He has been performing as a soloist with orchestras such as Aarhus Symfoniorkester, Nordic Chamber Orchestra, Qingdao Orchestra, Royal Danish Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra and Copenhagen Sinfonia.
