The music was recorded on October 4, 1966, at Desilu's Gower Street Studio in Hollywood, California, by Guaraldi (piano) and his longtime friends and trio accompanists - bassist Monty Budwig and drummer Colin Bailey - as well as Emanuel Klein (trumpet), John Gray (guitar) and Ronald Lang (woodwinds) The entire process of scoring was overseen by composer, arranger and conductor John Scott Trotter, known for three decades as music director and close friend of Bing Crosby. Vince Guaraldi was a US jazz pianist known for his innovative compositions and arrangements. He composed music for the television adaptations of the Peanuts comics and performed as a pianist in Cal Tjader's 1950s ensembles and as a soloist. His 1962 composition "Cast Your Fate to the Wind" became a radio hit and won a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Original Composition in 1963. Price: $22.98 |
