A jazz orchestra's strength comes from the abilities of each of its many members. As the leader of his own big band for over seven years now, Pete McGuinness has been fortunate to be able to write music for an excellent array of New York jazz musicians. Like the image of a flock of birds seen on the cover of this CD, the members of McGuinness' group act as a wonderful and graceful unit for this - his 2nd big band CD (fourth as a leader) "Strength In Numbers".
