Tinsley Ellis

Blues rock workaholic Tinsley Ellis presents his new album "Devil May Care." It is already the 20th long player in the career of the guitarist, singer and songwriter, who celebrates his 65th birthday in 2022. Like almost all musicians, Ellis faced new problems due to the Corona pandemic and the lockdown. He had to cancel the tour for his last album, 2020's "Ice Cream In Hell," after just a few weeks. But he used his newfound time and immediately began writing new songs. Inspired by his heroes, including B. B. King, the Allman Brothers, Freddie King and Michael Bloomfield, he used amplifiers and guitars that hadn't been used for decades. Over 200 songs were created in the process, some of which he has shared with his fans on the Internet over the past two years. The positive feedback finally motivated him to record a new album. 200 demos turned into ten songs, which he recorded with his friend and co-producer, keyboardist Kevin McKendree, at The Rock House Studio in Franklin, Tennessee - ten dynamic songs between honest blues and hard rock with his usual emotionally charged guitar solos. "The goal was to make the guitar sing," says Ellis.
