For his sixth and latest Deutsche Grammophon album, pianist Seong-Jin Cho returns to the music of Frédéric Chopin. His third Chopin recording for Deutsche Grammophon is entitled "Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 2 - Scherzi". For this album Cho collaborates with the London Symphony Orchestra and its conductor Gianandrea Noseda, with whom he has enjoyed a productive and stimulating working relationship over the past five years. Seong-Jin Cho gained international attention and critical acclaim with his first prize at the 2015 Warsaw Chopin Competition, followed by a studio recording combining Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 and the 4 Ballades. Following this latest Chopin release, Cho presents what he considers the logical continuation of the repertoire - a program consisting of Chopin's Romantic Piano Concerto No. 2 and the Four Scherzos.
