As with his reworks for the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, the German composer has used digitized original recordings from the 1920s and 30s for his album "Parallels: Shellac Reworks". His goal is to bring great masterpieces of music history into the present and, with his modern interpretations, make them accessible to people who don't normally listen to "old masters".
