The young Russian pianist Andrey Gugnin (among others winner of the International Piano Competition in Sydney 2016) is one of the most remarkable newcomers to HYPERION's portfolio of artists. For his debut on the label he chose piano music by Shostakovich, which is still unfairly in the shadow of symphony and chamber music. A really excellent choice!
