The new edition "col legno III" offers various young and upcoming artists with border-crossing artistic flexibility to generate a new, exciting way of experiencing contemporary classical music. Pianist Hélène Pereira trained with Christine Hartley who taught her for several years the art of playing with "the whole body", focusing on the construction of sounds by gestures, through a body awareness overall. She then perfected her skills with Bernard Ringeissen at the Conservatory of Rueil-Malmaison (Excellence Award in piano and many first chamber music awards). She graduated from the Sorbonne (Master "Music-Languages-Literature" with a thesis on the setting of the poems by Charles Baudelaire), she regularly accompanies lyric recitals at the Studio Theater of the Comédie Française, but also the masterclasses of Rachel Yakar, François Le Roux, Christa Ludwig, and others. Passionate about mixing arts, she collaborates on many projects with dancers, photographers, painters, puppeteers, writers, and visual artists.
