COLLARD-NEVEN HOUARI

Let yourself be enchanted by the unusual meeting of the western piano guided by Jean-Philippe Collard Neven and the oriental oud handled by Nasser Houari. This Belgian-Moroccan duo gives pride of place to improvisation on classics of Arabid music such as “Mawlid annour” by Mohamed Abdelwahab, “Longa farahfaza” by Riad Al Sumbati as well as some of their own compositions. Jean-Philippe Collard-Neven is a professor of music and improvisation at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Mons. He has appeared as pianist with the Namur Chamber Orchestra, Art Zoyd, the Lille Philharmonic Orchestra, and others. He has released several albums to widespread acclaim. Nasser Houari was born in Rabat, Morocco in 1975. The oud player and composer studied at the Conservatoire National de Musique et de Danse de Rabat, and also holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy.
