On this release, the masterful interpretation of David Louwerse and François Daudet takes the listener into a melancholy and poetic universe, a ballad on the shores of the channel and the Baltic Sea, with works from Arvo Part, Frank Bridge, and Benjamin Britten. A multi-faceted French cellist, David Louwerse is passionate about musical creation in all its forms ... Holder of several first prizes at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris and the Lugy G. Moses Fellowship Award from Yale University, he is currently the cellist of Ensemble Variances under the direction of composer Thierry Pécou. He regularly plays with violinists Virginie Robilliard, Liana Gourdjia, violists Vinciana Beranger and Cecilia Bercovitch, and many other well-known chamber musicians. In addition, he plays and records with bandoneonist Gullaume Hodeau in the concert series Barocco-Tango which revists baroque pieces and tangos. He is also the artistic director of the Ault Music Festival which takes place in the south of the Baie de Somme.
