The specialist in medieval bowed string instruments Alejandro Tonatiuh Hernández invites us to visit some of the most emblematic pages of the repertoire for the thirteenth century fidula. This new release is an exciting journey through one of the most emblematic instruments of the Gothic era. Alejandro Tonatiuh Hernández studied interpretation with historical criteria in the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya, and received a Master’s degree in musicology in the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and in the medieval music course from Girona’s conservatory conducted by Dr. Mauricio Molina. The love for this music’s research and dissemination ahs always accompanied him and led him to create a the ensemble Musica Enquiriadis and to win an early music performance award at the National Conservatory of Mexico City.
