Yassen Vodenitcharov is one of the most impressive contemporary European artists. In this album he takes us again into his world of paintings, timbres, unusual harmonies and rhythms. A graduate of two national conservatories - in Bulgaria and in France, the composer creates his unique style. Through his works he collaborates with prominent musicians, who often provoke him and some of his pieces have been created especially for them (For example, the work Trajectories of Silence was composed for the prominent French mandolin player Florentino Calvo and for the Quartet Estudiantina). His compositional style focuses on programme music, making use of sound groupings and an avant-garde musical language. Yassen Vodenitcharov has a marked preference for interesting combinations of instruments and voices that highlight his musical ideas. In this programme, yassen Vodenitchaov remains true to his style, which we know from the previous releases of Gega New.
