This new release features the world premiere recording of two new works for flute and piano dedicated to Mauro Conti and Alessandro Stella. This release entices a new chapter in the great history of music literature for flute and piano. Mauro Conti and Alessandro Stella celebrate the tenth anniversary of their artistic partnership with this release. Mauro Conti graduated from the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome in 1998 in the class of Gian Luca Petrucci. With a vast repertoire ranging from Baroque to Contemporary, he has held a long series of concerts in Italy and abroad, playing as a soloist both in chamber music repertoire and in orchestral repertoire. For chamber music, he has worked for many years with pianist Alessandro Stella and with harpist Barbara Da Pare. He has also played the role of the first part in several national and international orchestras. Alessandro Stella has been a regular guest artist at the Martha Argerich Project in Lugano, Switzerland since 2008 and his performances at the festival were included in the yearly compilation series of box sets that EMI Classics dedicated to the Project, always receiving a warm welcome by music critics all over the world and winning important prizes like the ECHO Klassik Award and the Gramophone Editor’s Choice.
