Michael Heath: Suit Suite & Other Works

Written for Londinium IV- the string quartet from The London Philharmonic Orchestra- Suit Suite is a new four-movement string quartet by composer Michael Heath. The success for the premiere of this work led to the recording of this release for which Michael then composed the Three Dance Duets for solo violin and cello. The album is completed by the addition of Michael’s suite for solo piano, Arcady, and the soprano song cycle, Wave Songs. Known originally for his compositions for the theatre, Michael Heath recently broadened his work and began writing for the concert platform. This led to a commission for a new string quartet for Londinium IV. The tonal, romantic, and dramatic works on this inaugural Amalgamated Arts recording will appeal to all lovers of classical music.
