This intimate and dramatic retelling of the Resurrection story as told in the Gospel of St. John marks the beginning of a new partnership between Hebrides Ensemble and Delphian Records. Sir James MacMillan’s work premiered at the 2012 Edinburgh International Festival. This recording features the same ensemble and director, William Conway, who is also the work’s dedicatee. The upcoming series of recordings will document Hebrides Ensemble’s magnificent contribution to Scottish cultural life.
