Produced by Larry Klein who has helmed with a golden touch for artists such as Melody Gardot, Herbie Hancock’s Grammy winning “The Joni Letters”, and Madeleine Peyroux among others. With songs penned by Tom Waits, Rickie Lee Jones, the Beach Boys and more, ‘Canyon Songs’ tips its hand in its provenance to an era of Los Angeles music making that goes well with the melancholic jazz stylings of Bassenge along with her ace trio comprised of trumpeter Till Brönner, guitarist Thomas Dybdahl and famed sessiondrummer Vinnie Colaiuta.
