On a visit to Auschwitz and Birkenau, David Chesky decided he wanted to create works taht depicted not only the sorrows of death camps but the joys and celebrations that encompass many aspects of Jewish life. | Cheksy created these works for The Chelsea Symphony based on the Eastern European musical language of Klezmer. | The featured soloists are violinist Artur Kaganovkiy, bassist Ethan Herschenfeld, clarinetist Moran Katz, and cellist Kristina Reiko Cooper. | Conducted by Yaniv Segal, this Chelsea Symphony perfomance was recorded with a single microphone which brings a three-dimensional sound to headphone users. | This new release is part of the Chesky Binaural Series.
