Gary Peacock - Now This

This is a 2015 ECM records release featuring Gary Peacock (bass), Marc Copeland (piano) and Joey Baron (drums).The CD contains eleven tracks totaling fifty-seven minutes playing time. The project was produced by the legendary ECM founder Manfred Eicher. The audio quality, like most ECM releases, is exceptional. All three of these musicians are jazz icons and masters of their instruments. Gary Peacock has had a long and fruitful career. He’s probably best known for his”Standards” collaborations with Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette. Joey Baron is a drummer supreme, who has played with just about everyone including Stan Getz, Art Pepper, Jim Hall, Dizzy Gillespie, David Bowie Tony Bennett and Michael Jackson, to name just a few few. Marc Copeland is one of the top tier jazz pianists playing today. His light touch on the keys and his Zen like approach to playing and composing is truly unique and without peer.
