Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Fantasia concertante (1951) is dedicated to Andrés Segovia. Leo Brouwer's Concerto Elegiaco was influenced by Javanese gamelan music as well as by the Afro-Cuban intricacies of Brouwer's native Cuba. Nikita Koshkin, born in Moscow, is a virtuoso guitarist whose international reputation has been secured through worldwide performances of his superb compositions.
