This release of Wagner's well-loved Der Ring des Nibelungen presents a unique departure from the traditional CD or digital download. Fully utilizing the 16GB of space, this USB contains two high quality audio formats of Wagner's complete Ring cycle (uncompressed WAV and 320kbps MP3). In addition to the audio recordings of Wagner's Ring cycle, this release includes both the BBC documentary "Great Composers: Wagner," and a video entitled "The making of the Ring," which features Daniel Barenboim and John Tomlinson. In addition to audio and visual versions of Wagner's Ring cycle, the USB flash drive contains the full libretti of all four operas in PDF format. Full synopses for each opera and seventeen original articles covering all aspects of the Ring and its production are also included in a specially designed software application that comes installed on the USB flash drive. In addition to the synopses and articles, the software application on the USB flash drive also contains leitmotif extracts and scores that allow users to explore the leitmotifs used in the Ring through scores, extracts, and descriptions that cover 65 of the most prominent themes used in the Ring.
