An all-star cast which includes a young Phil Dwyer and the legendary Canadian drummer Claude Ranger play a set of Thompson compositions. If not for anything else, this CD is a great document of the drummmer Ranger whose career was not nearly as long as it should have been. Dwyer, on soprano, has many bright moments throughout this affair showing off his ability to stand his ground with the veterans while cutting through this challenging music.
