Linn Records is pleased to announce jazz vocalist Ian Shaw's solo debut recording on the UK label Linn. A much-anticipated album of reworkings of Joni Mitchell songs, who is a personal heroine of Ian's. "Drawn to all things" features classic Joni Mitchell songs spanning her incredible career. Ian Shaw is already well known both in theUK and the States having succeeded in comedy and theatre before deciding to concentrate on a career in jazz. Ian has performed with some of the UK's top jazz musicians, including Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor and Cleo Laine, as well as fellow Linn artist Barb Jungr. Ian has an ongoing and highly popular duet show with Claire Martin and guested on her 2003 Linn album "Too Darn Hot!" (AKD243). Together they have toured the world in an intimate duo setting with Shaw playing piano or sometimes with the BBC Big Band, a band with whom, over the last five years, Shaw has cemented a highly popular musical relationship. Ian also guested on Sarah Moule's 2002 album "It's A Nice Thought" (AKD192). "Drawn to all things" includes three premiere covers: "Talk To Me", "Love Or Money", and "Stay In Touch".
