Winner of the Canadian Folk Music Prize in 2009, and nominated for a Juno award in 2010 for his album ''La danse de l'exilé'', Karim Saada makes a triumphant return with his brand new album Aich-Elyoum, Vie aujourd'hui.
Saada continues the pure musical tradition of his native Algeria with a sound strongly inspired by chaâbi, andalou, and haouzi harmoniously integrated with western rhythms and instruments.
Author, composer, and interpreter, Saada brings us eight original compositions, and one piece taken from the tradition of Andalusian Algeria. He makes us waltz (in French) over Montreal.
In his second opus, he plays the brio, banjo and mandolin, and for our great listening pleasure, explores the possibilities of the guitar with his audacious musical arrangements.
The artist is surrounded by experienced musicians from many different roots, whose talent and mastery contribute to the enhancement of his compositions and his voice.
Saada's unique musical signature is based on eastern, classical and western sounds. With his warm voice inspired by his cultural roots, he makes our emotions soar.
