Winners of World Music prizes « Gold » 2009 « Syli d'or » (percussion) and « Silver » 2008 « Syli d'Argent » (electric), Aboulaye Koné Moriké with his group, Bolo Kan, launch their first CD. The pieces reflect various delicacies of the most respected of West African music styles, the « Mandigue ». Son of a « griot » and recognized as a Master by his peers, Aboulaye Koné Moriké now delivers us a part of his heritage through his original compositions composed in Montreal land. Three variations of a style with three differnt « Mandingue » colors. A touch of percussion to awaken the ancestors, whatever electric it takes to tickle modern Africa and a bit of acoustic to rediscover the soothing word under the Baobab.
