Do Nothin' 'Till You Hear From Me / The Way We Were / Deed I Do / Please Send Me Someone to Love / Fine and Mellow / Lady Be Good / Somewhere in My Lifetime / I Could Have Danced All Night / What a Wonderful World / Ma, He's Makin' Eyes at Me / Don't Go to Strangers / I'll Be Seeing You

Etta Jones could do it all. You could hear it in every note she sang. You heard it best on up-tempo tunes when she would swing with a joyful abandon and an almost godlike authority. But even when she sang the most tragic and heart wrenching of ballads Jones conveyed a resilient inner core. Those traits are here in abundance on this live concert recording of Etta and her longtime partner Houston Person at the 2000 Tri-C Jazz Festival. Etta's voice remained remarkably consistent throughout her career and she sounds particularly vibrant here on her featured tracks. Throughout her nearly sixty year career, Jones never allowed the music business to alter her values. She drew her strength not from high fees and awards but from the songs she sang and the musicians she sang them with. Here is Etta again, imbuing her special joy into her music, her colleagues and her audience. Etta it is good to have you back
