"Heyma", or "Wanderings" in English is an album born of the collaboration between a group of Tunisian friends, who have spent their lives ravelling between several cultures: Leïla El Mekki, a woman poet whose simple words are both moving and profound; Skander Guetari, a composer whoses tunes, now languid, now mischievous delight the ear; and Abir Nasraoui, whose voice exudes passion and communicates emotion beyond all physical and symbolic frontiers. Eleven tracks, some of them impish and others more somber in tone, take the listener on a journey through a generous musical universe, created by more than a dozen musicians from East and West.
