Following the success of her Goldberg Variations recording, New York based pianist Simone Dinnerstein teams up with Zuill Bailey to release a two CD set of Beethoven's complete music for Cello and Piano. The result is really something fantastic. The Sonatas are expertly played throughout with Bailey showing his mastery of the Cello. Dinnerstein provides solid, melodious accompaniment. The piano playing sounds effortless. The highlights of this recording are the Variations that Beethoven wrote on themes by Handel and Mozart. They are absolute Gems, and I have put The Handel variations as the sample track so you can enjoy it as much as I did. Two discs for the price of one, and at a budget price at that. A Must-Have item!
