Andreas was given his first cello at the age of four and made his solo debut with orchestra at the age of 14 with the Royal Danish Orchestra, Copenhagen playing the Elgar Cello Concerto.
This release features a rich array of cello concerti and features: Tchaikovsky: Rococo Variations, Schumann concerto and Saint-Saëns Concerto No.1.
The Danish Radio Orchestra conducted by Michael Schønwandt are the perfect choice to accompany Andreas on his debut album due to his close friendship with Michael, whom he has known since he was a child. “It has been very inspiring to play with the Danish Radio Orchestra and Michael Schønwandt in the Radio House Concert Hall, Copenhagen," he explains. “Here I feel at home!"
