The brand new luxurious CD edition celebrates the fabulous 1965 TV series soundtrack. Remastered from the original stereo tapes. Sound optimized to 24bit. Plus 3 Christmas bonus tracks. The digital remastering in 24Bbit process was done by the Californian sound engineer luminary Joe Tarantino. For this purpose, the revered expert unearthed the original analog stereo master tapes of the 1965 multi-platinum album from the archives, together with the original stereo mixes. Resulting in an astonishing difference in sound between this reissue and the first CD issue from 1988 - suggesting the great strides made in the digitization of analog master tapes over the past 25 years. Fantastic to hear, especially on the centerpiece 'Christmas Time Is Here' as well as its extended soulful instrumental version of a good six minutes playing time. The new edition also contains three Christmas bonus tracks: 'Greensleeves', 'Thanksgiving Theme' and 'Great Pumpkin Waltz'. Who doesn't know them, the unsurpassable, lovable Peanuts?
