Freddie De Tommaso - Passione
Freddie de Tommaso, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Renato Balsadonna
Passione" is about the fascination of Italy and the enthusiasm for the heroic tenor voices of the past. Freddie De Tommaso explores the musical landscape of his father's family, who hail from Casamassima near Bari in Puglia - once part of the Kingdom of Naples. Together with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Renato Balsadonna, the three-time winner of the Tenor Viñas International Singing Contest presents various works by great composers such as Vincenzo Bellini and Giacomo Puccini. Highlights of his debut album include world premiere recordings for orchestra of Puccini's Mentia l'avviso and Sole e amore, as well as an orchestral version of Respighi's Nebbie arranged by Salvatore Di Vittorio, based on its original manuscript.
