L’oiseau-prophète
Label: MAGUELONE Catalog: MAG194973 Format: COMPACT DISC Kreidy, ZiadMaguelone presents what is probably the first recording of a romantic piano tuned in romantic unequal temperament. This magnificent small-sized Erard Chanteur from 1852 is perfectly suited to the poetry of the character pieces by Schumann, Goetz and Heller, performed live by Ziad Kreidy. The sound quality faithfully reproduces the acoustical space. Author of several reference works on the piano, Ziad Kreidy is an advocate of piano diversity adapted to everyone. He has taught at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK), the Université Bordeaux 3, the Université de Franche-Comté, and the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental de Ville d'Avray (research, analysis, composition). He is currently Professor of Music History and Analysis at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional of Versailles. Following his interest in historical piano tuning, he designed his personal 1/8 comma temperament for the romantic and impressionist repertoire. Price: $25.98 |
