The works date from the latter half of the 19th century through the 1930s. Three world renowned bass clarinetists are heard here- Stefano Cardo, Thomas Aber, and Balthasar Hens, as well as esteemed keyboardists- pianists Ruta Stadalnykaite, Robert Pherigo, and Hsiao-Yen Chen and organist Pietro Pasquini. They are accompanied by the Liliencron-Quartet der Stuttgarter Philharmoniker.
