World Cafe is a beautifully recorded spectacular acoustic instrumental album of original songs by Grammy Nominated Flutist and Composer Ron Korb. Ron’s beautiful flute playing carries us through each artfully crafted song with it’s own unique texture and that sparks the imagination and takes us to the various points of the Latin world. From the Andalusian inspired "Dance with Me" to the seductive Mediterranean Salon style cafe music in "Sans Regret" to the nuevo flamenco flavour of "Cordoba", to the Caribbean freeness of "Island Life", the Afro Cuban rhythms of "Hilario", the Louisiana soul in "New Orleans" and the elegant Neo-Classical version of the Sans Regret Finale with the evocative deep bass flute and cellos. This album is rich with stirring performances by guests artists like: The legendary Cuban Grammy Nominee Hilario Duran - grand piano, The award winning Johannes Linstead on Spanish guitar, The world class accordion virtuoso Joseph Macerollo, and cello virtuoso and innovator Margaret Maria and award winning pianists Laila Biali and Bill Evans. The entire album is played by masterful musicians recording their instruments in an acoustic studio setting. No midi software or synthesizers were used in any aspect of his project giving it a very organic and human feeling and sound.
