He consistently pursues his own path as a conductor – between the Baroque period and the present age, between the archives and new creations – and he has established himself amongst the virtuosi of his instrument with his organ transcriptions. He is the artistic director of the Munich Bach Choir & Bach Orchestra and, besides his similarly long-standing cooperation with the San Carlo Opera in Naples, he regularly conducts the Bach Collegium in Munich and the CPE Bach Choir in Hamburg.
