The works recorded here have been preserved in the archives of the cathedral and bear witness to the great skill of the composer. The Baroque Orchestra of Seville is unquestionably among the very finest Spanish groups dedicated to historical performance practice and the interpretation of ancient music. Founded in 1995 by Barry Sargent and Ventura Rico, the group has been led by artistic director Pedro Gandia Martin since 2001.
