Winner of the 2012 BBC Young Musician of the Year competition, Yuanfan Yang is only 19 years old and has yet received prizes and invitations from around the world for both his pianistic and his compositional abilities. Born in 1997, Yuanfan Yang is now studying piano and composition at the Royal Academy of Music in London, after studying for seven years at Chetham’s School of Music. Yuanfan has won prizes at the Cleveland International Young Artists Piano Competition, the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Weimar, Germany, and the European Union of Music Competitions for Youth.
