In the symphony, which is characteristic of Gorecki’s works, the non-literal literary theme of biblical quotations and the Treaty of the rotation of celestial spheres is of great importance. The words in the Symphony No. 2 were not only significant as inspiration or a starting point, but they became what was directly addressed to the listener.
