This new release is the second volume of Seabourne's highly acclaimed Steps series, described as "one of the most significant of the 21st Century" [Allegro], and with excellent reviews from Gramophone and Music Web International. This large scale cycle of 15 pieces draws inspiration from the life and works of Leonardo da Vinci. Giovanni Santini received his Bachelor’s degree cum laude in piano at the “L. Boccherini” conservatoire, going on to take a Master’s degree in piano at the P. Mascagni” Conservatory with D. Rivera. He attended master-classes held by Badura-Skoda, Perticaroli, Balzani, Libetta, Swann, Weiss, and more. He has ranked in the top positions in several competitions, culminating in his first prize at the 2008 “XII Rassegna Migliori Diplomati d’Italia” in Castrocaro. He has been personally invited by the Sheva label to record this current album. He is also a composer with recorded, broadcast and published works to his name.
